Principal – Paula Woodman
Paula has more than three decades of experience in nurturing young minds and is a leading Montessorian, having won Montessorian of the year in 2017. She has been at the forefront of reconnecting children with nature by using the natural synergies of the Montessori and Forest School philosophies.
Paula has been encouraging her staff to promote child–led creativity and imaginative play within the Montessori curriculum from the very beginning.
Her nurseries consistently gain Outstanding Ofsted ratings, with the most recent inspection being her Herbert Street setting in September 2022.
Manager & Montessori Lead – Danielle Budde
Danielle is passionate about using Maria Montessori’s teachings to grow the creative spark and intrinsic will to learn within all of us. She has been helping children flourish in this way for nearly two decades, in addition to her safeguarding and observational roles.
Forest School Lead – Carolina Fattori de Toledo
Carolina has been a qualified Forest School lead and nursery teacher for over a decade. She is an enthusiast for outdoor education and has a particular interest in the long-term mental health benefits that result from interaction with the natural world.
Forest School Lead – Hannah Jones
Hannah has been delivering environmental education for nearly a decade. She is passionate about Forest school’s ability to create meaningful connections with the outdoors, in particular its nurturing of community and sense of belonging. Hannah loves facilitating learning in wild spaces and believes that nature is the best classroom we have!
Digital Resources - Gregory Moss
Gregory is a Tech Lead at multi-award winning technology consultancy, Softwire. He runs the digital side of Woodentots Forest School and keeps your data secure. Gregory is not an education professional, but still has enhanced DBS & barring checks and you may encounter him guarding the fire from time to time in Carer & Child sessions. He has a DPhil in Particle Physics - you may detect his influence in the occasional science-based activity.
